2027 Northern Italy Mission
Experience the intersection of athletic excellence and cultural immersion. Our mission is to bring awareness of baseball in Northern Italy and support the local team Porcia Astros.

This 10-day international experience combines baseball, cultural immersion, service, and adventure. Players will compete in a four-day international baseball tournament, followed by six days experiencing the culture and beauty of Northern Italy through sightseeing, local experiences, team activities, and meaningful time with our Italian baseball community.
More than a baseball trip, this is an opportunity for our players to compete internationally, experience another culture, serve others, build lasting relationships, and represent GDI and the United States abroad.
Path to GDI Team 2027
1. TRYOUT
Players will attend a GDI tryout where our coaching staff will evaluate athletic ability, baseball fundamentals, attitude, effort, coachability, and overall fit with the GDI mission. We are looking for more than great baseball players; we are looking for young men who will represent their team, community, and country with character. Tryout dates TBD. Ready to take the first step? Complete the registration form to join our tryout list.
Registered players will receive upcoming tryout dates, locations, and details as soon as they are announced.
2. TEAM OFFER
Following tryouts, selected players will receive an official GDI Team Offer. This invitation means you have been chosen to represent Global Diamond Initiative and join our next international experience. Families will receive trip details, expectations, costs, and important dates with their offer.
3. SECURE YOUR SPOT
Once a Team Offer is received, a non-refundable deposit will be due by the date specified in the offer to officially accept the invitation and secure the player's roster spot. Once the deposit is received, you're officially part of Team GDI, and the journey begins.
